Year 10 students recently visited the Hanbury Hall on Tuesday the 12th of February to support their GCSE photography coursework. This opportunity was made possible due to Arrow Vale’s National Trust educational membership.
The students were required to capture the grandeur of the 18th Century stately home and its formal gardens whilst also paying attention to the intricate detailing on the windows, drain pipes and clock tower.
The students will use the photographs as inspiration to begin enhancing and editing the images, in the style of their chosen artists. This was a valuable experience for the students as it provided an opportunity to explore a local landmark and record their experience using photographic techniques that had been planned in school, prior to the visit. The photographs taken will form part of the students coursework based on ‘Architecture’.
